OSHA's revised crane standard includes a new training requirement for signal persons. Anyone who may signal a crane is now required to be qualified on the Standard Method for hand signals. Signal persons must know and understand the type of signals used and be tested as competent in their application of these signals. This program trains crane signal people and crane operators in the use of the 20 standardized hand signals as described in ASME B30.5 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926.
